Emergence marks the beginning of movement within Axis No. I, introducing the first gesture in a composed three-part work defined by tension, balance, and release.

Sweeping strokes of charcoal and raw umber enter from the upper field, gradually dissolving into a soft ground of warm ivory. The composition feels active yet restrained—capturing the moment where form begins to take shape without fully resolving.
